This "directional" sign was created from a piece of clipart that was used in an advertisement for a new community in Sarasota, Woodlands at Rivendell.  They wanted to show that they were close to everything.  Because the piece had been used in their advertisement it was important to reproduce the sign appropriately, reinforcing their image continuity.

The final piece measures around 9' tall and the 1/2" plywood arrows are around 6" x 28" each.  The tree is just that, a tree.  Specifically it is an oak limb measuring 13' with a diameter of 8" tapering down to 5".  The arrows are mounted into carved grooves so they cannot rotate and work themselves loose in the wind.  They are attached with stainless steel screws.

To make the sign accurate all of the directions were figured from Woodlands and the main observation direction was given, this allowed us to show all of the arrows mainly on one side.

The finished project looked wonderful in it's surroundings.
